A unique landscape in the heart of the German-Luxembourg Nature Park awaits you and your sense of discovery. Impressive rocks, marked trails with breathtaking views, and numerous alternatives shape the climatically warm valley carved into sandstone by the border river Sauer.

One remarkable hiking trail is the "Grüne Hölle" (Green Hell), which combines an experience of history and hiking pleasure with the Lauschtour app. This trail was awarded the title of the second most beautiful hiking trail in Germany in 2024.

Another highlight is the "Bollendorfer Märchenpfad" (Bollendorf Fairy Tale Path), designed to be particularly exciting and adventurous for children. Here, nature and culture are brought together in a child-friendly manner. A coloring book is available at the tourist information center in the Haus des Gastes in Bollendorf. There, you will also receive detailed information about other hiking routes and excursions.

The region offers numerous excursion possibilities. Visit the charming Luxembourg, the picturesque Echternach, or the historic Trier, Germany's oldest city, perhaps combined with a boat trip along the Moselle River, famous for its world-renowned vineyards. A visit to the Bitburger Brewery is also worth it, as guided tours are available by appointment. For the more active, our region offers canoeing on the Sauer, climbing in the neighboring village of Berdorf (Lux.), or tours by bike or motorcycle. We provide free storage for bikes at our facility.
